Proverbs 22:6 reads: "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
This would seem to explain how crime has become such an epidemic in South Africa in the last 2 decades. It appears that parents and people who are supposed to be teaching children how to live productive lives as law-abiding citizens are actually teaching them how to engage in criminal activity. Something which is obviously lucrative in South Africa and therefore an attractive way of life.
The video below depicts a 7 year old child stealing a cellphone in the midst of a busy restaurant seemingly on the instruction of the 2 adult women she was with.
The problem then comes around when the kid is finally caught one day and sent to prison. Then the blame game starts and it is always the same - its the fault of the white people who oppress the blacks and keep them poor. So they resort to crime to try and better their lives. Blah blah blah. Its simply bad parenting by morally bankrupt adults, greed, ignorance, the sense of entitlement that these kids are now born with and of course the failure of the police "service" and public "education".
