Reinstate Farmworkers or We'll Get Violent Again - Tony Ehrenreich

This tosser is really starting to burn my bacon! I wonder when the cops will see his statements and threats as incitement and arrest him? Things would be much better. But on an unrelated note I have only 1 thing to say to Tony: If workers engaging in illegal strikes are fired (legally) then they cannot strike seeing as they are unemployed. Any action taken by them will be an illegal protest and they should immediately be arrested. Typical COSATU brainfart you had there.

Tony Ehrenreich warns that strike action will resume on Jan 9 on those farms where there is no agreement

On-going developments in agriculture in relation to the farm protests
From COSATU on behalf of farm workers
Dear Colleagues
Please receive correspondence from our offices in relation to developments in the farm protest actions. We have, as COSATU, been asked by the workers to clearly communicate their message to the parties concerned. The workers have made it clear that they will not be constrained from pursuing protest for justice and fair wages on the farms, by technicalities and legalities. As far as the workers are concerned their struggle for an end to apartheid relations on farms have not been suspended, only the strike was suspended until 9 January 2013.
The workers have elected to take the offer put forward by the representatives of the Agri SA for farm level negotiations, and to commence engagements in this "farm by farm" level' negotiations immediately. These negotiations will be assisted by unions, NGO and workers committees, and will discuss the R150 wage demand as well as the profit sharing. Farmers are urged to not put in place technicalities to restrict union access to farms and to facilitate these engagements and negotiations.
The Strike will continue on the 9 January on those farms where there is no agreement, as well as the reporting to foreign markets on specific farmers not cooperating with this process.
The farms where disciplinary action and dismissal of workers as a result of strike participation has been initiated by farmers to intimidate farm workers - will see strike action taking place if those workers are not reinstated by the 19 December 2012.
The CCMA will assist in facilitating access to farms and getting resolutions on dismissals and victimisations, where these have been opposed by farmers' attitude and conduct. As COSATU we will also be making representations to the Minister of Justice to have charges dropped against workers for protesting against slave wages.
This message is communicated by COSATU, to all parties, on behalf of the workers who have elected to take up this struggle against oppression. Albeit that COSATU is not the representative union of the workers, we have been requested to, and therefore are purely assisting and supporting the workers to find a negotiated settlement that would avoid violence and dissent.
We believe, as COSATU, that the call by workers to still pursue the construction of good relations with decent farm owners, to be the desired route, while equally understanding that exploitation and oppression should not be allowed to continue in South Africa, for one more day.

More Blatant Theft - Court Sanctioned Too Nogal!

Well, we now have a court ruling saying that it is perfectly fine for the ANC to rob the public blind. The North Gauteng High Court ruled in favour of SANRAL and Treasury which effectively allows them to go ahead and steal money directly from our bank accounts! I would usually respect the views of the court but in this instance they'll have to come and take my money by force if they think that I will pay a fifth time to drive on the same roads. I already pay income tax, a fuel levy on every litre of petrol I buy, I license my car and I renew my driver's license. I refuse point blank to pay again. How can they punish the public for their failure to plan ahead? If Zuma hadn't been stealing funds to upgrade his personal compound together with the billions stolen by government in the last 18 years there would have been more than enough funds for the infrastructure upgrade.

When the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project was approved I was on board because the roads were desperately in need of a little TLC - but NO mention was ever made of them funding it through tolls! This part was deliberately left out and now they are trying to force legislation through that will effectively legitimise them stealing more of my money! I say over my dead body!

There has been no mention made of how they plan to maintain all the back roads which will see 10 times the amount of traffic as people avoid the highways. No mention is made of how the backlog in traffic will be dealt with either! I predict that 2013 will see a huge increase in the amount of road rage incidents because I know that I will be in an extra foul mood having to deal with traffic (which is already as bad as I can take) being 10 times worse.

People are going to be late for work on a daily basis - I wonder how that will go down with employers and clients? Not going to have a happy Jhb in the new year - except for the taxis of course seeing as their toll fees will be subsidised - they will be happy that they can do whatever the hell they want on the highways simply because traffic will be almost non-existent.

Food prices will skyrocket (again!) because transport costs will go through the roof and all of that extra will be passed onto the consumers. Strikes will begin with renewed vigour due to the resultant loss of jobs and public violence will be at an all time high. Sounds like a lovely year right?

And all the while the ANC and the fatcat BEE tenderpreneurs at SANRAL will be laughing all the way to the bank to withdraw all of it!

Multiculturalism at its Best

Multiculturalism will be the death and end of all things classified as "white" and "western". The increased drive by European countries to import as many foreigners as possible is literally going to destroy all of their history and culture. This is increasingly obvious in the latest "racist" and "offensive" traditions which relate to a character known as Zwarte Piet. Black Pete Criticism Grows: The latest news out is that the tradition of Black Pete "should be given a makeover or banished from the holiday scene, seeing him as a blight on the nation's image as a bulwark of tolerance." Its amazing how only western countries should be tolerant. And how many people of colour who choose to move to these functioning first world countries know that traditions and cultures clash but the second they arrive they set about trying to destroy all of the culture and heritage in their new home. It really does my head in. The entire process if one of reducing all white countries to third world hellholes - just like the ones the new immigrants originated from. And what confounds me even further is that all of these idiotic liberals think that destroying their own heritage is a fantastic idea simply because in some deep dark past white people did what it was human nature to do - explore and expand.

In the folklore and legends of the Netherlands and BelgiumZwarte Piet ['zʋɑrtə pit] (About this sound pronunciation) (meaning Black Pete) is a companion of Saint Nicholas (DutchSinterklaas) whose yearly feast in the Netherlands is usually celebrated on the evening of 5 December (Sinterklaas-avond, that is, St. Nicholas Eve) and 6 December in Belgium, when they distribute sweets and presents to all good children.
The characters of Zwarte Pieten appear only in the weeks before Saint Nicholas's feast, first when the saint is welcomed with a parade as he arrives in the country (generally by boat, having traveled from Madrid, Spain). The tasks of the Zwarte Pieten are mostly to amuse children, and to scatter pepernotenKruidnoten and "strooigoed" (special sinterklaas-candies) for those who come to meet the saint as he visits stores, schools, and other places.
The original Zwarte Piet is sometimes associated with Knecht Ruprecht, but in the Low Countries the tradition has not merged with Christmas.
The first origin of Sinterklaas and his helpers can probably found in the Wild Hunt of Wodan Riding the white horse Sleipnir he flew through the air as the leader of the Wild Hunt. He was always accompanied by two black ravens, Huginn and Muninn. Those helpers would listen, just like Zwarte Piet, at the chimney - which was just a hole in the roof at that time - to tell Wodan about the good and bad behaviours of the mortals. During the ChristianizationPope Gregory I argued that conversions were easier if people were allowed to retain the outward forms of their traditions, while claiming that the traditions were in honour of the Christian God. Saint Nicolas tradition is one of them, converting Wodan to a Christian counterpart.[citation needed]
According to myths dating to the beginning of the 19th century, Saint Nicholas (Sinterklaas) operated by himself or in the companionship of a devil. Having triumphed over evil, it was said that on Saint Nicholas Eve, the devil was shackled and made his slave. A devil as a helper of the Saint can also still be found in Austrian Saint Nicholas tradition in the character of Krampus.
Some sources indicate that in Germanic Europe, Zwarte Piet originally was such a mastered devil forced to assist his captor, but the character emerged in the 19th century within the Netherlands as a companion of Saint Nicholas resembling a Moor. Saint Nicholas is said to come from the Byzantine Empire, modern Turkey.
The introduction of this new Zwarte Piet was paired with a change in the attitude of the Sinterklaas character that was often shown as being quite rough against bad children himself and thought unbefitting of a Bishop by teachers and priests. Soon after the introduction of Zwarte Piet as Sinterklaas' helper, both characters adapted to a softer character.
Still, the lyrics of older traditional Sinterklaas songs warn that while Sinterklaas and his Zwarte Pieten will leave well-behaved children presents, they will punish those who have been very naughty. For example they will take bad children and carry these children off in a burlap sack to their homeland of Spain, where, according to legend, Sinterklaas and his Zwarte Pieten dwell out of season. These songs and stories also warned that a child who has been only slightly naughty will not get a present, but a "roe", which is a bundle of birch twigs, (as a warning they could have gotten a birching instead) or will simply receive a lump of coal instead of gifts.
Until the second half of the 20th century, Saint Nicholas' helper was not too bright, in line with the old colonial traditions.[clarification needed] Once immigration started from the former colonised countries Zwarte Piet became a much more respected assistant of Saint Nicholas, who is often a bit inattentive, but playfull
According to the more modern Saint Nicholas legend, a Zwarte Piet is a servant who accompanies Saint Nicholas on his holiday travels. In some versions, Saint Nicholas is said to have liberated a young slave named Peter, who decided to serve Nicholas. Zwarte Piet is today commonly depicted as a black person in the colorful pantaloons, feathered cap and ruffles of a Renaissance European page, a tradition that started based on a single illustration in a book published in 1850.
Zwarte Pieten are often portrayed as mischievous but rarely mean-spirited characters. The character is believed to have been derived from pagan traditions of evil spirits. Also told for decades is a story that the Zwarte Pieten are black because of chimney soot and/or in mockery of the darker Spanish occupiers of the Low Countries in centuries past.
During recent years the role of Zwarte Pieten has become part of a recurring debate in the Netherlands. Controversial practices include holiday revellers blackening their faces and wearing afro wigs, gold jewelry and bright red lipstick, and walking the streets throwingcandy to passers-by.
Foreign tourists, particularly those from the United States and Britain, often experience culture shock when encountering the character, as dressing in blackface is considered offensive in these and other countries. Since the 1990s, there have been several attempts to introduce a new kind of Zwarte Piet to the Dutch public, among them replacing traditional black makeup with various other shades of colors. As an experiment in 2006, the NPS (en: Dutch Programme Foundation) replaced the black Pieten with rainbow-colored Pieten but reverted the characters back to the traditional all-black makeup a year later.
The tradition continues to be popular in the Netherlands but some activists have protested against it. Four people wearing t-shirts with the words "Zwarte Piet is Racist" were arrested during the second weekend of November 2011.
The largest Sinterklaas celebration in Western Canada, slated for December 3rd, 2011 in New WestminsterBritish Columbia, was cancelled for the first time since its inception in 1985 following a debate over the inclusion of Zwarte Piet. Rather than remove the character, the organizers cancelled the festivities entirely because, as spokesperson Tako Slump of the organization said: 
"We got a lot of replies back from our customers in the Dutch community. It became pretty clear to us that we love Sinterklaas and we can't have it without Black Peter. Those two go together."
In 2011, legislators in the former Dutch colony of Suriname stated that government-sanctioned celebrations involving Zwarte Piet were considered an insult to the "black part of Suriname's community." Efforts have begun in the Republic to prevent future governmental promotions of the character.
